THE MD-250-HD. A beefed up version of the MD-250.

The MD-250-HD is basically an MD-250 on steroids. Equipped with heavy-duty components and an extra stiff frame, The MD-250-HD is able to test vehicles weighing up to 24,000 pounds.

The MD-250-HD was designed to be a performance dynamometer first, with the added benefit of being able to test 2WD heavy-duty vehicles such as truck, buses and commercial vehicles. No other dyno in its class offers more value or better in-house motor vehicle testing capabilities than the Mustang MD-250-HD. For starters, the MD-250-HD can boasts a 1,500 horsepower measurement capacity at a top speed of 175 mph and a powerful air-cooled eddy current brake provides the MD-250-HD with 900-hp worth of loading capacity for steady state testing. Do not be fooled by its compact size – the MD-250-HD is a serious dynamometer with serious tuning capabilities.

The MD-250-HD uses a powerful eddy current power absorber, a frictionless, air-cooled braking device, to enable it to apply variable and steady state loading. A complete control and data acquisition system lets you design a wide range of tests or select from a host of pre-configured tests included with the standard system.

The 250-HD’s four roller design makes setting up vehicles a snap – simply drive onto the 250-HD and let the tires settle in between the rollers. The addition of an axle pull down kit help keep the tires from slipping or trying to “climb out” of the rollers.

Chassis Dyno Pricing

 Session I – Obtain Numbers

To obtain base line numbers that you can build upon or if you are just curious how much power you are putting out at the wheels we offer a dyno session that lasts approx. one hour, with print out We like to take some time with you to make sure you are comfortable with the process and build a file in our computer system of you and your ride. That way if you make some modifications or upgrades later you can come back and we can overlay graphs and see what the performance gains actually were. Also we can simulate a run down the drag strip, complete with full size Christmas tree.

Session I    2 – 3  Power Pulls to measure Torque and Horsepower, Plus 1 – 1/8 or 1/4 mile run on drag tree, reaction time / 60ft / 330ft / 660ft / 1000ft / 1/4 mile / MPH will be measured. – Cost – $100

 

Session 2 – Dyno Tuning

We specialize in Performance and OEM carbureted fuel systems. From Race to Stock to Antique, we can professionally tune your car.  We have software for Holley Commander and F.A.S.T. Soon we will be adding EFI Live and HP Tuners to our capabilities.Depending on how in depth the tuning session is expected to be, we will work with you during the tuning session (if you want to self tune) or we can schedule for you to leave your ride with us.

Session 2   Tuning by the hour: $100 for first hour / $85 per additional hour.

 

                                                                                                                       

 

Session 3 – Race Tuning / All Day / Half Day Tuning 

If you are serious about tuning your race or street car, you need to schedule more time on our chassis dyno. We will be operating all winter, which would be a great time to set up your tune for the upcoming racing season.

Session 3    Tuning by the Half Day (5) hours $400  /  Full Day (9) hours $700

 

Session 4 – Dyno Days – Group / Club Rates

If you are looking for a fun event for your car club, or you and some buddies what to get together for some dyno competition, we can schedule a Sat or Sun for you. We will provide the same services as Session 1, with a more relaxed atmosphere. We even have a grille, fridge, table and chairs  for you to use!

Session 4    Group rates are as follows 1-3 cars $100 each  /  4-7 cars $75 each  /  8-12 cars $65 each
