Diesel Performance

If your into Diesel Performance, C-Tech Performance has got you covered with knowledge, parts, enthusiasm and plenty of diesel attitude!

C-Tech Performance is now a dealer for AIR DOG fuel preporator systems. If you are looking for more fuel mileage and performance this is a great product. Check out this video on how the system works.

The 98.5-2002 24v Dodge Cummins pickups stock lift pump, suffers from being able to keep up with enough pressure and flow to keep the injection pump properly cooled and supplied with enough fuel.

In order to extend the life of you injection pump and save yourself thousands in repairs, all trucks whether they are stock or modified will benefit from an aftermarket lift pump.

Many people try to cure the problem with a cheaper Holley blue lift pump, but small fuel pumps like that do not flow enough volume to keep up under heavy load situations. The best fix is an Air Dog 100 or 150 lift pump. The VP injection pump needs at least 10 p.s.i. of fuel pressure to be properly fueled.

They also need enough volume in g.p.h. in order for that pressure not to drop under load and acceleration. The Air Dog lift pumps provide your VP equipped Cummins engine with both of those along with extra filtration with a 2 micron fuel filter and an extra water separator filter.

Due the diesel fuel being prone to aerating the Air Dog is also an air separation unit which provides your truck with clean air free fuel to add better fuel economy and better performance.  The Air Dog 150 requires the use of a ½” pickup to be installed in the tank also, due to the small stock pick up. This modification requires the tank to be dropped or the bed to be lifted off.

If your plans are to modify the truck the 150 is smartest way to go because of its versatility to supply enough fuel for big hp numbers. Install can be very tricky and quite time consuming without having the proper equipment. The best way to do it is with a hoist to help save time and even then you’re looking at around 3.5 hrs install time for a complete and clean install.

For those of you in cold climates like Michigan, we are able to retain your stock fuel heater without compromising flow so your cold winter morning starts are still done with ease. This requires some extra fittings and a small section of line that the Air Dog kit does not come with as they want you to skip that and go straight to the pump.
